Lulled by the gentle melody of chirping birds, whinnying horses and rustling trees, Daniel and Claudie open the doors of their estate, set in the heart of nature with a breathtaking view over the surrounding countryside, a typical Aveyronnaise residence with its stone walls and dovecote, framed by its two large barns, one of which dates back to 1801, in an enchanting and particularly peaceful setting of 18 hectares of meadows and woods. Here you’ll find authenticity and serenity, with the charm of yesteryear as if time had stood still ….
We have renovated our entire property, house and barns, essentially by ourselves, respecting the original features but adding comfort through environmentally-friendly renovation using natural insulation materials such as wood wool, sheep’s wool, cork, fermacel …
It took my husband and I ten years of courage and tenacity to restore this estate to its former glory.
You’ll make your way from nature to the soft, enveloping warmth of your room, where you’ll no doubt appreciate the refinement and originality of the decor, which will leave no one indifferent… The barn has 4 large, bright and charming bedrooms, a dining room in the barn’s former stable, a shared library area for relaxing in peace and quiet, a decorating boutique and a wellness area to complete your stay.

This room, located on the first level of the barn, is a reference to the way in which ladies used to ride horses from the 16th century onwards, using a special saddle known as the “selle amazone”, which allowed them to have both legs on one side so they could ride with pretty dresses.

This room, located on the first level of the barn, has an artistic influence in its decoration.

This room, located on the second level of the barn, is a small nod to all the châteaux you can visit throughout the region, with over 40 châteaux in Aveyron, over a hundred in the Lot and no fewer than 661 in the Dordogne, France’s most richly endowed department, accounting for almost 11% of the country’s châteaux.

When we bought this property, we discovered a number of objects that belonged to the rural life it has undergone from 1801 to the present day, and this room evokes those little finds in our grandmothers’ sheds that were only as valuable as their stories of the past.
